as they always have or is there a lot of high pitched “chirps+twitters” you fail to hear because of age?ie:there is a device that sounds a high pitched noise that only teenagers can hear ,and it moves them on from gathering in groups at shopping mall’s (seriously)by its irritating noise.

Birds are known to have as many as 20 different calls. some are for mating while others are for protection. It could be true that due to old age and hearing decrease it will be harder for you to hear as many as their calls.
